Game Freak has just revealed Pokémon Legends: Arceus during a Pokémon Presents stream celebrating the game’s 25th anniversary. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will launch on the Nintendo Switch in early 2022, but unfortunately, we don’t have a more concrete release date as of yet.
Pokémon Legends Arceus takes place in the Sinnoh region, which many fans will remember from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but this new title is set many years prior to the setting you know and love. This time around you get to choose from the starters Cyndaquil, Rowlet, or Oshawott, and by the looks of things, all your beloved Pokémon will follow you round in the overworld once again!
The gameplay Game Freak showed off during the presentation looks very different from what we’ve seen in the past games, and saw trainers catching wild Pokémon in the overworld with the simple toss of a ball. We don’t know much else about this brand new title right now, but we’ll make sure this page is kept up to date with any future news.
