Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, the anticipated auto-runner from developer King, is due to arrive next month.
True to form, neither King nor Activision Blizzard explicitly announced or publicized the launch date – just as it didn’t confirm the game or give it a real title when it leaked around a year ago. Instead, the news emerged from a company financial call.
According to PocketGamer.biz, King president confirmed the release window in response to a question about the company’s growth trajectory, revealing that the studio is, “hard at work bringing Crash on the Run to our mobile audiences next month”.
In case you need to catch up, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is an ambitious Minions Rush-style 3D auto-runner that looks, superficially at least, an awful like a standard Crash Bandicoot platformer.
It promises iconic characters and locations, tens of hours of gameplay, and an intriguing base-building element that sees you gathering ingredients to spend on buildings. There will be asynchronous multiplayer, too.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is a promising casual arcade game, and it looks like we’ll be playing it within the next seven weeks.
For now, you can pre-register for it on the Google Play Store.
