Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus rolls onto tablets this April

Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus rolls onto tablets this April

Kasedo Games has announced that its popular turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe is coming to iPad and Android tablets on April 22. Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus sees you take command of the tech-priests of Mars in their campaign against the pesky Necrons of the planet Silva Tenebris. As the chief artificers of the Imperium, you'll wage war with only the very best technology, marshalling robots and augmented warriors to crush your foes. It's metal men vs. metal men – who will win? Well, that's down to you.

In Mechanicus, you play as tech-priest Dominus Faustinius and his loyal crew as they plunder the tomb world in search of powerful artifacts. But the Necrons – understandably – aren't too pleased about being woken up, so you'll have to augment your heroes and troops, as well as managing your expedition's vital resources to survive and reclaim the long-lost technologies.

Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus also boasts being written by Ben Counter of Black Library fame, who you might know for the excellent Horus Heresy novels: Galaxy in Flames and Battle for the Abyss. Mechanicus also has a pretty great soundtrack – ya know, if gothic space choirs are your thing.
